Important Update on SVG Air Flights
Dear Valued Customers,
We hope this message finds you well. We would like to provide an important update regarding the current status of our flight operations at SVG Air.
Update #1 (3/8/24):
Carriacou Airport Reopens
The Grenada Airports Authority has now officially confirmed their ability to resume commercial flights at the Lauriston Airport in Carriacou. SVG Air / Grenadine Airways flights have also been resumed and reservations can be made.
Update #2 (3/8/24):
Travel Update for Canouan and Union Island
- Shuttle Service: Open for bookings to Canouan and Union Island only for Humanitarian/Reconstruction and Local Homeowner travel.
- The Islands are open for workers and locals who are traveling to inspect and attend to their personal affairs and only these people should book this service. The airports are not open to Leisure Travel at this time.
- Union Island airport does not have Immigration, Customs, or Security screeners. That means all Homeowners and Reconstruction/Humanitarian travelers coming in from an International Airport will go via Canouan and then fly on to Union Island once the relevant personnel listed above are in place in Canouan. In their absence, flights from International airports will go to/from St. Vincent.
- Booking Notice: There will be no online bookings; all passengers have to be screened for booking confirmation. This situation continues to be adjusted repeatedly and unexpectedly and changes might have to be made that are beyond our control.
Update #3 (20/8/24):
Bequia Airport Update
The airport in Bequia remains closed. We do not know at this time when it will reopen, as soon as we are informed by the officials at the AIA we will update our customers.
We truly apologise and are trying our best to keep you informed about the airports in the Grenadines. Adjustments do happen, sometimes unexpectedly, which may lead to changes that are outside our control. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and patience during this time. Rest assured, we are dedicated to serving you and meeting your travel needs, thank you for being a valued part of our community.
Update #4 (28/8/24):
Bequia Airport Update 2
As of August 28th, 2024, we are pleased to inform you that the J.F. Mitchell Airport in Bequia has officially reopened. Flight operations have resumed, and we are ready to assist with your travel needs. We appreciate your patience and understanding during the closure and look forward to welcoming you back on board.
